About Our Founder

Kings Medical Associates, LLC was founded by Dr. Kingsley O. Oyem in 2018 with the mission of bringing person-centered psychiatric care to NJ and NY areas. He is a Board-Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner and Suboxone Certified with a vast wealth of experience in dealing with youth, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations across the life span. He provides treatment for clients struggling with general mental and substance abuse issues from the ages of 5. His special interests include but are not limited to GAD, MDD, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, ODD, intermittent explosive disorder, conduct disorder, bipolar disorders, panic disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorder, substance abuse, eating disorders, addiction, and dual diagnosis.

He received his doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) in 1998 from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, Nigeria 1998. Then, he received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) from New Jersey City University in 2008 and his MSN degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2017. He is licensed in NY and NJ.

Dr. Kingsley O. Oyem works in several facilities and agencies, including GenPsych, RWJBanabas Health Jersey City Medical Center Acute Inpatient Psychiatry, Greystone Psychiatric Hospital, Serenity at Summit Inpatient Detox, and residential facility. He is a clinical professor to MSN and BSN students pursuing their graduate and undergraduate degree programs.
